Assignment:
Group Project – The class will conduct an international culinary arts program review of India and Australia education systems and compare it to the United States culinary arts education system.

Program review analysis must include:
1. Profile of the national education system/framework.
2. List and explain/discuss the academic programs, curriculum framework, governing accreditation body,
assessment process of student learning, faculty profiles, and any other information about the academic
programs.
3. In-depth description of the culinary program; list courses, type of classes, program length, class schedule,
description of the kitchen and dining room – square footage, equipment, textbooks used, teaching style, etc.
4. Indicate the Education Standards. Compare educational standards with US (RI) state standards.
5. Critique the culinary arts program and make recommendations to improve the weaknesses you have
identified.
